An Update From Supporting Strong Women
Over the months since our last update, our Rwandan partners at the Dukunde Kawa cooperative have been hard at work constructing a daycare centre, funded by you and your coffee communities through the Supporting Strong Women campaign.

Today, the site is almost 90% completed, with just the outdoor areas and other finishing touches left to go. We recently received some photos and videos of the progress from Dukunde Kawa’s Managing Director, Ernest Nshimyimana, that we wanted to share with campaign contributors.
Comprised of a main classroom, four nap rooms, medical and washroom facilities, kitchen spaces, and a huge playground, this impressive facility will provide early education for some 50-60 children of the Rambagirakawa Women’s Group and other local coffee growers. The centre is currently on track to open in January 2025, and has already started enrolling students for Term One.
We are so delighted to see the progress and enormously grateful to everyone whose hard work and contributions made this possible! You can access high res versions of the photos and videos here.
You’re welcome to share these images with friends, family and extended coffee community. If you plan to post on socials, please tag @supporting_strongwomen and @dukundekawa_rw to spread the word far and wide — and thank you again for participating in Supporting Strong Women!
