We are very excited about our incoming Brazilian offerings, which Fleur and Toshi selected during their September visit. This harvest marks a decade since we began sourcing from Fabiano Borré and his family, a significant milestone we were delighted to celebrate together. Touring the impressive farm and mills, and seeing how Progresso have forged a path by implementing technology into every aspect of the estate’s operations and investing in the development and well-being of the town of Mucugê that surrounds them, was incredibly special.
On the cupping table, we could really taste the results of Progresso’s innovative approach to farming and processing — from their optimised irrigation system and use of organic fertiliser and pest repellent (made in-house in a carefully controlled environment), to the careful way cherries are colour-sorted and then dried under very specific and precise conditions. The latest crop is one of the most transparent and refined we’ve had from Fazenda Progresso, with the natural lots being particularly fruit-driven and juicy thanks to 2025’s drier weather.
This year’s pulped natural and natural estate lines will provide the perfect backbone to any blend, while exhibiting plenty of complexity to shine as single espresso offerings. Our incoming shipments also include two stunning microlots: Airumá, a pulped natural coffee, and Gandula, a natural. The elegant and distinct offerings showcase the exceptional terroir and quality Brazil’s Chapada Diamantina region is known for, while also contrasting the character and texture processing brings out in each.
Forecasting for Brazil can be a mammoth task, but we’re here to help. With the first of our offerings landing in January 2026, getting in touch with your requirements and requests now is key in planning the forthcoming year. Reach out for samples or to cup with our team!
