Santa Isabel Estate is on the way!

This week, Santa Isabel Estate ‘Las Flores’ is hitting the list! The special offering is one of our favourite Guatemalan coffees of the year, as it is made up of the most floral and complex day lots cupped by the farm’s QC team during the harvest.

We’ve been offering Santa Isabel’s spectacular coffees since 2011 because we love their vibrant and distinct flavour profile. The fifth-generation family farm is currently managed by our good friend Luis “Wicho” Valdés Jr. (pictured below), who has deep care for the land and communities that surround the estate, and incredible pride in his family’s coffee heritage.

Wicho has instilled his drive for quality on Santa Isabel’s team, resulting in coffees that are vibrant, transparent and sweet — only the ripest cherries get processed following careful, meticulous practices. After a harvest that lasted longer than expected due to untimely rains, Wicho’s coffee has hit the water and tasting great. The latest crop of their ‘Las Flores’ microlot is bright and floral with stonefruit sweetness and notes of green apple, honey and black tea. Due to land in August, we have limited pre-shipment sample available for those keen to have a taste!
