Jambo Kenya!

Our latest shipment of fresh crop Kenyan coffees just landed! Our team has been head down in the cupping room this morning, tasting through the lots to ensure they meet our strict quality standards before dispatching them out to customers.

Published 5 June 2026

We’re thrilled to report the coffees are tasting incredibly vibrant and distinct – the lots have now all been approved and will begin making their way out to customers around Australia. For those with reserves, give us a call or shoot us an email to book your delivery.

Keen to taste what we’re talking about? We have two cooperative lots from Kiama FCS available, along with a handful of bags remaining from small estates Rurima and Mbokam. Read on to learn more about these coffees, and get in touch to request samples if you’re keen to have a taste!

Kiamaina AB | Nyeri County

Located in Kenya’s famed Nyeri County, Kiamaina is one of four washing stations (or factories, as they are called in Kenya) owned and operated by the Kiama Farmers’ Cooperative Society (FCS). We love this coffee’s notes of fresh strawberry, mandarin and cacao nibs, along with its syrupy mouthfeel. Its vibrant tropical acidity and silky body make this offering the perfect all-rounder, as it shines across all brewing methods.

Kiangundo AB | Nyeri County

Kiamaina’s sister factory, Kiangundo, is another of Kiama FCS’ sites, located in Nyeri’s beautiful highlands. Kiangundo receives cherry from over 800 co-op members, and processes it using fresh water from the nearby Ragati river. This year’s crop is bright and transparent, with candied orange, yellow nectarine and panela sugar. It’s a delightful coffee that will shine through all filter methods, and will make for an elegant single espresso.

Rurima AB | Embu County

Rurima is a small estate and factory (as wet mills are called in Kenya) owned by a collective of siblings, in-laws and first cousins. While each family member grows their own crop, the estate’s impeccably kept processing facilities are shared, resulting in clean and transparent lots every year. Their most recent crop is bright and well-structured, showcasing notes of passionfruit, apple and milk chocolate that are complemented by lingering florals.

Mbokam AA | Embu County

Mbokam Estate is an incredibly lush farm owned by Arthur and Josephine Mbogo in Kenya’s Embu County. After falling in love with their coffee on the cupping table, we visited the estate last February, and are thrilled to offer their elegant and refined AA lot for the first time. This offering’s notes of nectarine and honey are elevated by its sparkling, tropical acidity — the perfect addition to your filter menu!
