Small Producers of El Hato | Antioquia, Colombia
We love coffee from Antioquia, as the combination of the region’s geological attributes and its cooler climate result in consistently unique and outstanding lots. This vibrant and juicy offering was produced by six smallholders from the town of El Hato, and performs well across all brewing methods thanks to its distinct notes of yellow peach, green grape and panela sugar.
Gera | Jimma, Ethiopia
Who doesn’t love a crisp and clean washed Ethiopian filter? Made up of coffee grown at export partner Tracon Trading’s impressive Gera Estate, along with freshly picked cherry from some 350 local outgrowers, this lot’s jasmine fragrance and delicate notes of greengage plum and black tea are best showcased through manual brewing methods—but don’t let that stop you from featuring it on batch!
Bekele Yutute Natural | Sidama, Ethiopia
We’re lucky to have access to Ethiopian single-producer lots like farmer Bekele Yutute’s, thanks to the work of The Lalisaa Project. This initiative connects international buyers like MCM with quality-focused growers directly, cultivating a more independent supply chain. Bekele’s is a rich and sweet coffee, with mango, passionfruit and Earl Grey tea in the cup. It stands out as a manual pourover and batch brew, and even comes up a treat when brewed over ice!
Nyarusiza | Southern Province, Rwanda
There’s somerhing truly special about the rich sweetness and intensity of flavour found in coffees from Rwanda’s Southern Province—and lots processed at Buf Coffee’s Nyarusiza washing station have them in spades! With notes of cherry and grapefruit, balanced by hazelnut and black tea, this coffee’s great structure and high sweetness make it the perfect candidate for both manual pour over and batch!
Nkara | Northern Province, Rwanda
Located in Rwanda’s Northern Province, Nkara is supply partner Dukunde Kawa Cooperative’s smallest washing station. That doesn’t stop them from producing delicious coffee, though—as they consistently deliver lots that are floral and delicate. The latest season’s crop is juicy and and bright, with a lovely tea-like body and lifted apricot acidity that stand out when brewed manually.
Sincorá | Chapada Diamantina, Brazil
Named after a stunning chain of mountains surrounding Brazil’s Chapada Diamantina National Park, Sincorá is a carefully selected micro-lot from longtime partners Fazenda Progresso. This bright and well-structured coffee presents lemon candy and maple syrup sweetness that excel across all brewing methods, and provides exceptional value!
