The hills and valleys surrounding the small town of Piatã, located in Brazil’s Chapada Diamantina mountain range, are home to a tight knit community of independent farmers who produce some of the country’s most exquisite and internationally renowned coffees.

Meet Angelique Karekezi

Angelique Karekezi is the powerhouse managing director of Rwashoscco, a farmer-owned marketing, exporting and roasting company through which we source many of our Rwandan offerings. Along with her peers, Angelique’s hard work and determination has been instrumental in establishing Rwanda’s specialty coffee industry and leading it towards a more sustainable and profitable future.

Meet Zelcafe

Based in Antigua, Zelcafe is the milling and exporting business of Guatemala’s renowned Zelaya family. We have been sourcing coffee from the Zelayas since 2008, as we share in their commitment to producing delicious, high quality coffee with a deep sense of environmental and social responsibility.

A new pasteurisation machine for Dukunde Kawa

The new pasteurisation machine at Dukunde Kawa was installed in early 2019. Many people in the coffee community in Australia rallied together make this happen.
