Ikawa House

Founded by Laetitia Mukandahiro and Uzziel Habimana, Ikawa House are coffee producers, consultants and exporters. As two of Rwanda’s most experienced coffee professionals, Laetitia and Uzziel established Ikawa House with the goal of elevating the quality of the country’s coffee and propelling the local specialty industry forward.

We’re going on tour this spring!

Over the next couple of months, we’re hitting the road to visit partners across Australia. Fresh off our trips to Rwanda, Brazil and Bolivia, we’re back with stories to tell and coffees to cup with you — we’d love to catch up!

Meet Laetitia Mukandahiro

Along with business partner Uzziel Habimana, Laetitia Mukandahiro is the founder of Ikawa House, a Rwandan exporter and consultancy agency pushing the local industry forward while connecting quality-focused international buyers with some truly incredible Rwandan coffees.

By prioritising coffees from small, independent producers and family-run estates, we source our Kenyan offerings a little differently than most importers do. A look back at the crop’s history in Kenya and the context under which these farms were established is key in understanding why our strategy goes against the status quo — and why we’re so committed to their coffee.
